Andre Dekker (pictured), Geert van de Camp, and Ruud Reutelingsperger are a Rotterdam based artist group.  Andre has worked closely with Haring Woods as a mentor for their Bright Sparks R&D scheme, contributed to The Art of Common Space/Interdependence Day programme and is now helping to develop a Rotterdam based Place on Earth project.

Here is an excerpt from their forthcoming book, Big Pieces of Time:

"Art's finest calling is outdoors, but Observatorium aims to turn the outward-directed gaze inwards.  Ideas arise in the space between them - especially ideas about art n landscapes and towns - and personal fantasies are compared and combined.  That is their field of work.  The overlapping of three auras constitutes a common denominator: time and space focusing for attention.  It is a state of mind that we take for granted in a museum or even in a garden - not on a motorway, an industrial estate or at a sports event.  Yet that is the kind of territory in which Observatorium chooses to work."
